Pinch of Salt

Hmmm well just back from a few days seeing friends, popped into the shed to take another look at the seat. Figured out how to fit the fender eliminator and steel plate, which I will need to buy four new bolts to mount. But when It comes to the actual seat I'm starting to wonder if it will work without a bit of help [chopping].

Already the paint on the frame has a few scratches as the seat seems to be a rather tight fit. The bracket the slides under the tank, could do with a little filing down, so it fits, and that underseat bracket [pictured] seems to get in the way.

Also I don't see anything that will stop the front of the seat from being squashed down when sat on.

But all that aside its seems like a good quality product, that will look fantastic when fitted and painted!

Will have another try tomorrow and maybe let my painter take a look too.

From Italy with Love...

Big parcel awaiting me when I got home from work today.... shame i wont be able to look at it until next week,

The Bonneville Six Days is a tribute to the great Steve McQueen who has competed with a Triumph ISDT at the International Six Days Trial in 1964 in the former GDR

Anybody else starting to see a pattern here?... is it me or are the Italians showing the Bonneville a lot more love than we Brits and those chaps across the pond put together. I love what the Italians have done, but lets be honest it's not difficult painting a Bonneville a funky colour, and bolting on a few after market extra's (which the Italians also make) but... they do it so well.... Nothing new then really.

Nice Bonne, High pipes and what looks like MAS Mudguards, and side covers. Looks good

More Modded Scrams

Looking great..... but as ever, stock Twins look far too long [especially the pipes] - I like the vintage rubber on the front "artificial Pirelli MT53- Tire is a 4.00 x 19" Duro"

That Bonne of the Day again

Any professional photographers out there who will do a shoot of my bike....for free?

K-TSX Seat Pt 1

Ordered the new Street Cross Vintage-style tail section with saddle(Kit)
(K-TSX for want of a shorter name) from Kompo-Tech in Italy the other day, and I have just received a confirmation email this morning informing me they will be sending the seat on the 18th March. [Delayed a bit by my Credit Card company querying the transaction as suspicious] I have already removed the old NARK battery box that is no longer needed when fitting this kit, there is an option to keep it, or the original OEM airbox if preferred.

If you have not already seen the Kompo-Tech seat, go to the Komp-Tech and Cafe Twin Websites, also take a look at both of their Facebook pages.

I will write a little review on the K-TSX and taking lots of photo's.

Need to phone the painters too..... hmmm Blue with a white stripe...all blue....or maybe plain white....
